Nigerian Troops Arrest Terrorist Collaborators in Northeast

Nigerian troops conducted operations in Northeast Nigeria, resulting in the arrest of a 50-year-old woman, Kelluh Alhaji Abba, at a checkpoint in Baga, Kukawa Local Government Area. She was found with supplies allegedly meant for terrorist operations.

Additionally, Amadu Abdu, also 50, was detained for transporting packages believed to contain items for insurgents. Troops rescued four individuals, including two women, Salamatu Sidiq Ali (19) and Halima Idrisa (20), and two children, Umar Abdullahi (3) and Mustapha Abdullahi (4), who were identified as victims of an abduction during an attack on Ngosh community on March 3, 2026.

Lt. Col. Sani Uba reported that 65 abducted persons have been rescued so far. The military also noted the surrender of two family members of insurgents, Aishatu Sale (20) and Hauwa Abubakar (70), due to military pressure and shortages of food and supplies.

Ongoing operations have led to the recovery of an AK-47 rifle and other items, reflecting the military's commitment to restoring peace and security in the region.
