Kayode Proudly Represents Italy, Acknowledges Nigerian Support

Kayode, a 21-year-old right back born in Borgomanero, Italy, to Nigerian parents, has expressed his pride in representing Italy at the U18, U19, and U21 levels. He has acknowledged the widespread support he receives from Nigerians, stating, "I’m happy Nigerian people are happy." Kayode is currently focused on earning a senior call-up to the Italian national team, which is a primary ambition for him, especially as Italy prepares for a 2026 World Cup playoff against Northern Ireland.

He has been performing consistently at the club level with Brentford, where he hopes to make a significant impact. Kayode scored the winning goal in the 2023 European U19 Championship final for Italy and is noted for his distinct long throw ability.

He recognizes the importance of qualifying for the World Cup and remains optimistic about his future, despite the competition for places in the Italian squad.
