ADC Blames Tinubu for Nigeria's Hunger Crisis

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused President Bola Tinubu's administration of incompetence and mismanagement, leading to a severe humanitarian crisis in Nigeria. According to a report from the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), 17 million Nigerians, including infants and young children, are facing acute hunger across nine conflict-affected northern states.

ADC spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi condemned the government's actions, describing them as cruel and indifferent to the growing crisis. He stated that the humanitarian disaster is a result of the government's failure to contain banditry and terrorism, protect farmers, and address the rising cost of living.

The WFP report indicates that the food insecurity situation is at its worst in nearly a decade, with Borno State alone seeing three million people in acute food insecurity. Abdullahi emphasized that the crisis is not a natural disaster but a consequence of the government's policies, which have pushed millions deeper into hunger.
