Nigeria’s armed forces can win any war, says Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu expressed confidence in Nigeria's armed forces, stating they have the capacity to win any war when supported by the government's efforts to address the root causes of insecurity. Speaking at the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development in Yokohama, Japan, Tinubu commended the military for their bravery in battling insurgency and criminality.

He emphasized the importance of strengthening security institutions and implementing reforms to tackle economic hardships and social instability. Tinubu highlighted the need for inclusivity, diversity, and the rule of law as tools for national unity and stability.

He called for global leaders to prioritize economic cooperation over aid dependency and urged urgent reforms at the United Nations to give Africa greater representation in decision-making processes. Tinubu also emphasized the role of information technology in promoting peace and collaboration on a global scale.
