Tinubu Pushes for Local Arms, Ammunition Production to Enhance Insurgency Fight

President Bola Tinubu emphasized the need for local production of arms and ammunition to enhance Nigeria's security architecture and combat insurgency. Speaking at the graduation ceremony of Course 33 at the National Defence College, Tinubu highlighted the importance of boosting indigenous defence capacity to reduce reliance on foreign suppliers.

He praised the College for its commitment to building human capital critical for national survival and stressed the significance of strengthening the manufacturing of military hardware. Tinubu also expressed confidence in Nigeria's economy, citing positive growth indicators and investor faith in reforms.

He reiterated the government's commitment to completing the permanent site of the National Defence College to ensure strategic training for Nigeria and allied nations. Tinubu urged the graduands to join hands in delivering effective leadership and building a prosperous Nigeria.
