Nigeria's Crude Oil Output Reaches 1.73m Bpd in June 2026

Nigeria's crude oil production hit a six-year high of 1.73 million barrels per day (bpd) in June 2026, according to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC). This figure represents a growth of 2.2% from the previous month and marks the fourth consecutive month of increased production.

In June, Nigeria produced an average of 1.56 million bpd of crude oil and 0.18 million bpd of condensate, successfully meeting 104% of its OPEC quota of 1.5 million bpd. The report highlighted that the highest production levels since April 2020 were achieved due to stable operations across production assets and the absence of major pipeline outages.

The total combined production of crude oil and condensate reached 1.89 million bpd in June. The NUPRC emphasized the commitment of industry stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and maintain asset integrity, which has supported the upward trajectory in production levels.
