Nigeria’s Defence Chief Advocates Digital Solution To Counter Terrorism

Nigeria's Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, emphasized the importance of investing in modern technology, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), to combat terrorist groups like Boko Haram and ISWAP. Speaking at the African Chiefs of Defence Staff Conference in Abuja, General Musa highlighted the evolving security threats across the continent, stressing the need for digital solutions to defeat these invisible enemies.

He called for unity among African countries to tackle terrorism collectively, urging defence chiefs to embrace unity and build a continent free from insurgent threats. General Musa emphasized the role of the Armed Forces in leading the charge by investing in AI and indigenous military technology to achieve regional stability and continental defence integration.

Nigeria reaffirmed its commitment to regional stability and expressed readiness to collaborate with other African nations to combat terrorism effectively through shared intelligence and coordinated actions.
