Femi Azeez Named in PFA Championship Team of the Year

Nigerian forward Femi Azeez has been recognized in the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Championship Team of the Year for his exceptional performances with Millwall during the 2025/26 season. The 24-year-old scored 11 goals and provided eight assists in 37 Championship appearances, establishing himself as a key player in Millwall's attack.

Despite his contributions, Millwall, managed by Alex Neil, failed to secure promotion to the Premier League after losing in the semi-finals of the Championship playoffs to Hull City. Azeez's teammate, Tristan Crama, was also included in the PFA Championship Team of the Year, highlighting the quality of players at Millwall.

Additionally, Azeez's performances earned him a call-up to the Nigerian national team, where he made his Super Eagles debut against Jamaica in May, scoring twice. This recognition marks a significant breakthrough in Azeez's career, enhancing his prospects for future opportunities with the Super Eagles.
