First Lady Tinubu Urges Muslim Women at FOMWAN Conference

Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, called on Muslim women to remain steadfast in their faith and responsibilities during the 41st National Conference of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) held in Umuahia, Abia State. Represented by Hajiya Nana Shettima, the wife of the Vice President, she described the conference's theme as timely and a call-to-action, emphasizing that faith empowers women amid challenges.

Tinubu commended FOMWAN for over four decades of service to women and families, urging Muslim women to contribute to peaceful families and stronger communities. She encouraged participants to exchange ideas and develop practical responses to challenges facing women and families.

Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti, represented by his wife Priscilla, remarked on the importance of faith and resilience in navigating life's challenges. Dr. Sumaye Hamza, the National Amirah of FOMWAN, highlighted the association's commitment to education, health, and community development over the past four decades.
