Sokoto First Lady Urges Mothers on Child Upbringing

Hajiya Fatima Ahmed Aliyu, the First Lady of Sokoto State, called on internally displaced mothers to prioritize the proper upbringing of their children despite the challenges posed by insecurity. During her visits to Tangaza and Binji Local Government Areas, she interacted with internally displaced persons (IDPs) affected by security issues.

The visits aimed to identify the communities' immediate needs and reassure them of the state government's commitment to addressing these challenges. Hajiya Fatima revealed that Governor Ahmed Aliyu had initiated the distribution of subsidized food items, with specific allocations for women.

She emphasized the critical role of women in instilling moral and religious values in children to protect them from social vices. Hajiya Fatima urged residents to support government efforts against insecurity and to provide credible information to security agencies.

She stressed that children raised with strong values would be better equipped to resist negative influences and criminal activities.
