Afenifere Leader Blames Nigeria's Hardship on Bad Leadership

Oladipo Olaitan, a leader of the Afenifere faction, addressed the economic hardships and insecurity facing Nigeria, attributing these issues to poor leadership choices and anti-people policies. Speaking in Bauchi on Saturday, he highlighted the worsening insecurity, rising unemployment, and increasing cost of living, stating that Nigerians are suffering from persistent banditry, kidnapping, and communal clashes.

Olaitan criticized the government for weakening opposition parties and undermining the multi-party democratic system, which he believes is essential for democracy. He called for a shift towards people-centered economic policies that would create jobs, support local industries, improve infrastructure, and ensure affordable healthcare and education.

Olaitan urged the electorate to choose leaders capable of restoring hope and dignity for Nigerians in the upcoming 2027 elections, emphasizing that the country belongs to all citizens who should work together for peace and prosperity.
