Moses Simon Celebrates 200th Ligue 1 Appearance

Moses Simon, a 29-year-old Nigerian winger, reached a major career milestone by making his 200th appearance in Ligue 1 during a goalless draw against RC Strasbourg at the Stade de la Meinau. Although the match ended without any goals, this milestone is significant in Simon's career, highlighting his consistency and longevity in one of Europe's top leagues.

He becomes the second Nigerian player to achieve this feat, joining compatriot John Utaka, who holds the record for the highest number of appearances by a Nigerian in the French top division with 239 matches. Over six seasons in Ligue 1, Simon has established himself as a key attacking player for FC Nantes, making 177 league appearances, scoring 33 goals, and registering 37 assists.

Last summer, he transferred to Paris FC to help strengthen the club's squad in the French top flight, contributing three goals and two assists in 23 league matches this season, although he did not add to his tally in this landmark appearance.
