Nigeria and Germany Strengthen Military Cooperation

Nigeria and Germany are deepening their military cooperation through a renewed defense partnership aimed at addressing evolving security challenges. This commitment was reaffirmed during a work visit by Christian Schmidt, head of the German military cooperation delegation, to the Nigerian Defence College (NDC) in Abuja.

The partnership will focus on expanding professional military education, promoting strategic research, enhancing leadership development, and deepening institutional exchanges between the two countries. The NDC engaged in discussions underscoring the growing defense partnership, reflecting a shared commitment to build stronger defense institutions and improve military capacity through sustained collaboration.
