Three Sentenced to Death for Terrorism in Sokoto Court

On Wednesday, a Sokoto State High Court sentenced three individuals—Jabbi Alhaji Yall, Yusuf Muhammad, and Sallau Kabiru Muhammad—to death by hanging for terrorism-related offenses. The verdict was delivered by Justice Nuraddeen Muhammed Bello, who affirmed that the trio was guilty of charges including terrorism and arms trafficking.

The court found overwhelming evidence against them, leading to the death sentence under the relevant laws. Additionally, Justice Bello ordered the forfeiture of monetary exhibits recovered from the convicts to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The three were apprehended by the Department of State Services (DSS) on June 13, 2025, in connection with cross-border arms trafficking and terrorism. This case underscores ongoing efforts by Nigerian authorities to combat terrorism and related crimes within the region.
