NiMet Forecasts Thundery Weather Across Nigeria

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has issued a weather outlook predicting cloudy and thundery conditions across Nigeria from Wednesday to Friday. On Wednesday, patches of clouds are expected in the northern region, with morning thunderstorms and light rains forecasted for parts of Taraba and Kebbi states.

Isolated thunderstorms with moderate rains are anticipated later in the day over several states, including Borno, Yobe, and Kaduna. The North-Central region will experience thunderstorms with light rains in the morning and moderate rains in the afternoon.

The southern region is expected to have a cloudy atmosphere with morning rains over states such as Lagos and Rivers, followed by moderate rains later. On Thursday, similar weather patterns will continue, with a high possibility of flooding in Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River states.

For Friday, partly cloudy skies are expected in the northern region, with thunderstorms and moderate rains forecasted for Taraba and Adamawa states.
