NiMet Forecasts Sunshine and Thunderstorms Across Nigeria

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has issued a weather outlook predicting sunshine, cloudiness, and thunderstorms across Nigeria from Sunday to Tuesday. On Sunday, sunny skies with patches of clouds are expected in the northern region, with thunderstorms and moderate rainfall forecasted for parts of Taraba, Adamawa, and Kaduna states during the morning.

In the afternoon and evening, thunderstorms with moderate rains are anticipated over Borno, Bauchi, Gombe, Jigawa, Katsina, Kano, Kaduna, Adamawa, and Taraba states. The North Central region will experience similar weather patterns, with thunderstorms and moderate rains expected over Plateau, Niger, Nasarawa, and the Federal Capital Territory.

The southern region will see moderate rainfall in Ondo, Ogun, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Lagos, and Bayelsa states. On Monday, thunderstorms are forecasted for Zamfara, Sokoto, Kebbi, Adamawa, and Taraba states, with similar patterns continuing into Tuesday.
