NiMet Forecasts Thunderstorms Across Nigeria This Week

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has issued a weather outlook predicting cloudiness and thunderstorms nationwide from Wednesday to Friday. On Wednesday morning, patches of clouds are expected over the northern region, with thunderstorms and moderate rainfall anticipated in Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina, Kano, Zamfara, Gombe, Bauchi, Taraba, and Adamawa states.

Thunderstorms with moderate rainfall are also expected later in the day over parts of Kaduna and the entire North-East. The North-central region will see patches of clouds with chances of light rains in the Federal Capital Territory, Plateau, and Nasarawa states.

In the afternoon or evening, thunderstorms with moderate rains are forecasted for Benue, Kogi, the Federal Capital Territory, Kwara, Niger, Nasarawa, and Plateau states. The southern region is expected to be cloudy, with light rains possible in the South-south during the morning.

On Thursday, similar weather patterns are expected, with thunderstorms and moderate rainfall forecasted for various northern states.
