Nine Soldiers Killed in Borno State Landmine Attack

In a tragic incident in Borno State, a military convoy was struck by a landmine near Bindundul village, resulting in the death of nine Nigerian soldiers and injuries to several others. The attack, suspected to be orchestrated by ISWAP fighters, occurred in the Kareto area, known for ISWAP activity.

The soldiers were on their way from Maiduguri to Damasak headquarters in the Mobbar Local Government Area when the convoy was targeted. The military convoy and civilians have increasingly become targets of attacks by ISWAP and Boko Haram in recent months.
