ISWAP Terrorists Kill Several Soldiers in Borno Military Base Attack

In a recent incident in Borno State, ISWAP terrorists, a faction of Boko Haram, attacked a military base in Jakana, Kaga Local Government Area. The attack led to the reported deaths of several soldiers, with casualties recorded on both sides.

The terrorists arrived in multiple groups, making it challenging for the military to count them accurately. The attack occurred on the morning of February 6, 2025, along the Maiduguri-Damaturu road.

During the assault, the gunmen burned armored tanks and military vehicles, while some soldiers were killed, and others fled into the bush. The injured were transferred to the 7 Division Military Hospital in Maiduguri.

This attack followed a similar incident in Sabon Gari, Damboa Local Government Area, where several soldiers were killed, including a newly promoted Lieutenant Colonel, in an ambush by terrorists.
