FG Pledges Support for Families of Slain NIPSS Officers

Following an attack on the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Vice President Kashim Shettima visited the site to assess the situation and extend condolences to the families of the deceased officers from the Nigerian Armed Forces and Nigeria Police Force. During the visit, Shettima pledged that the Federal Government, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, would provide full support to the families of the fallen heroes.

He announced the donation of 50 solar power units to improve nighttime illumination around the institute. The Vice President emphasized the need for enhanced security measures, including a comprehensive action plan to fortify the institute's perimeter and install surveillance systems.

He directed that weekly progress reports be submitted until full completion of these measures. Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang commended military personnel for their efforts in repelling the attack and reiterated the government's commitment to defending state borders and ensuring the institute's continued operation.
