NIS DG Shaibu Commends NSCDC Officers for Dedication

On Thursday, Comrade Philip Shaibu, the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Institute for Sports (NIS), commended officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for their dedication and sacrifices in protecting lives and property across Nigeria. This commendation occurred during a decoration ceremony at the NIS headquarters in Abuja, where two NSCDC personnel, Ahmad Abubakar and Lawal Sani Lawal, were promoted from Corps Assistant I to Senior Corps Assistant (SCA).

Shaibu highlighted the critical role of NSCDC personnel in maintaining national security and recognized the challenging circumstances they operate under. He urged the newly promoted officers to view their advancement as a call to greater responsibility and to maintain high standards of discipline and professionalism.

Shaibu also praised the NSCDC leadership for recognizing deserving personnel and emphasized that a motivated workforce is essential for effective security operations. He reaffirmed NIS's commitment to collaborating with security agencies, noting that security is vital for sports development.
