NSDC Chief Urges Integrity at Anti-Fraud Unit Induction

In Abuja, Professor Audi, the Commandant General of the NSDC, addressed the induction of 100 Anti-Fraud Unit officers, emphasizing the necessity of integrity and accountability in fulfilling the Corps' responsibilities of protecting lives and property. A statement from Afolabi Babawale, the Corps Public Relations Officer, revealed that 37 personnel have been dismissed due to involvement in job racketeering, bribery, gun-running, and other unprofessional conduct, with some facing prosecution.

Commandant Emeribe Chinyere Victory, head of the Anti-Fraud Unit, reiterated the unit's commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability since its establishment in 2007. She expressed gratitude to Professor Audi for fostering an environment free from interference, allowing the unit to effectively detect and investigate corrupt activities.

The event also included the launch of two books authored by Dr. Emeribe: "The Dark Side of Duty" and "The Anti-Fraud Lexicon," which were reviewed by retired Assistant Controller General Hammed Abodurin. Key security stakeholders delivered goodwill messages during the event.
