Nigeria Immigration Service Launches Nationwide Campaign Against Migrant Smuggling

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has initiated a nationwide campaign led by the Comptroller General of Immigration, Kemi Nanna Nandap, to tackle migrant smuggling and irregular migration. The campaign aims to protect vulnerable citizens from trafficking and exploitation by enhancing public awareness and reinforcing Nigeria's commitment to safe and orderly migration.

The initiative involves town hall meetings, advocacy visits, media engagement, and grassroots mobilization across various states. It seeks to promote safer migration choices, discourage involvement in smuggling syndicates, and prosecute individuals engaged in migrant smuggling.
