NIS and NJI Sign MoU to Boost Sports Administration

On July 15, 2026, the National Institute for Sports (NIS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Judicial Institute (NJI) in Abuja. Comrade Philip Shaibu, the Director General of NIS, highlighted the importance of inter-agency collaboration to strengthen the partnership between the two institutions.

The MoU aims to enhance sports administration and promote capacity building within the sector. Shaibu noted that government funding alone is insufficient to sustain sports development in Nigeria, advocating for strategic partnerships and alternative funding sources.
