NITDA Empowers 900 Enugu Youths with Digital Skills

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) conducted a training program for 900 youths in Enugu State, emphasizing critical digital skills in emerging areas such as cybersecurity, data science, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship. The training took place during the Enugu Tech Festival (ETF) 2026, held from February 24 to February 27.

Kashifu Abdullahi, the Director General of NITDA, highlighted that this strategic skill training aligns with the federal government's Renew Hope agenda, aimed at cultivating digital talent among the youth. Abdullahi noted that out of the 900 trainees, 50 outstanding individuals demonstrated exceptional dedication and resilience.

These 50 young innovators will not only receive digital tools but also instruments that can transform their capabilities, representing opportunities for empowerment and confidence-building. The initiative is designed to create solutions and add value to communities, particularly in the context of new energy developments in Enugu.
