NJFP, EU, UNDP Invest N352.88m in Delta's Economy

The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP), in collaboration with the European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has injected N352.88 million into the Delta State economy by providing direct stipends to 419 fellows assigned to 130 host organizations. Launched by the Federal Government of Nigeria, NJFP aims to connect young graduates with structured workplace experiences while helping organizations access talent and develop future workforce pipelines.
Akubo Adegbe, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Delivery and Coordination, stated that the program is a one-year mentorship initiative designed to bridge the gap between the skills young people possess and the experience employers seek. Each fellow receives a monthly stipend of N150,000.
Dr. Weyinmi Eribo, Private Sector Engagement Lead at UNDP, emphasized the importance of co-financing and resource mobilization to connect NJFP talent with state-led economic programs and create an enabling environment for young people and businesses. The NJFP has been operational for nearly five years and focuses on sectors such as education, technology, business management, agriculture, and healthcare.
