Nigerian Judicial Institute Commends NERC for Power Sector Capacity Building Efforts

The Nigerian Judicial Institute (NJI) has commended the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) for its continuous efforts in providing capacity-building programs for judges on policies and regulatory reforms in the power sector. Retired Justice Babatunde Adejumo praised NERC for its initiatives, stating that they have significantly improved the resolution of electricity-related disputes.

During a visit to NERC in Abuja, the NJI administration reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with NERC to ensure effective adjudication of power sector litigations. NERC's Chairman, Dr.

Musiliu Oseni, along with Vice Chairman Dr. Yusuf Ali and other NERC officials, received the NJI team.

NERC remains dedicated to strengthening its partnership with NJI by engaging in targeted training to equip judges with the necessary knowledge to handle electricity sector cases efficiently. The visit is seen as a significant step towards enhancing the long-standing relationship between the two institutions, with plans for further improvements in power sector dispute resolution processes.
