NLNG Triumphs at Oil and Gas Industry Games 2026

The Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) emerged victorious at the Oil and Gas Industry Games (NOGIG), finishing at the top of the medal table with a total of 52 medals, which included 20 gold, 16 silver, and 16 bronze. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) was the defending champion, securing second place with 49 medals, comprising 14 gold, 15 silver, and 20 bronze.

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) took third place with 18 medals, while TotalEnergies finished fourth with 15 medals. The biennial games, which included participation from various organizations such as Oando, Seplat Energy, and ExxonMobil, were held from February 8 to 14, 2026, marking the 20th edition of the event.

This edition celebrated four decades of unity and collaboration in sports within Nigeria's oil and gas industry. Olakunl Osobu, the Deputy Managing Director of NLNG, praised the athletes for embodying the company's core values and demonstrating resilience and discipline.
