Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Games to Kick Off in Abuja with 1,200 Athletes

The Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Games is scheduled to kick off in Abuja on February 8, 2026, and will run until February 14, 2026. The event will see the participation of 1,200 athletes and officials at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

Notably, the snooker competition will take place at the E12 Club in Wuse. The athletes will compete in 13 different sports events, with Sulaiman Sulaiman serving as the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee.

Participants are drawn from international and indigenous oil companies, regulatory agencies, and affiliated institutions such as TotalEnergies, ExxonMobil, Selattyn Energy, Oando, Shell Nigeria, NLNG, NNPC, Chevron, Aredel, and Western Reinforc. The event aims to strengthen relationships and collaboration within the oil and gas industry, emphasizing the sector's critical role in Nigeria's economy and global energy supply.
