Nigerian Sports Commission Lauds NOGIG for Athlete Platform at 20th Edition Games

The Nigerian Sports Commission (NSC) has commended the Nigeria Oil and Gas Industry Games (NOGIG) for offering a platform for athletes to excel. The 20th edition of the games is set to kick off at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

The event, featuring 1,000 athletes reflecting the oil industry's commitment to teamwork and camaraderie, aims to promote healthy lifestyles and sportsmanship. Notable companies such as TotalEnergies, ExxonMobil, Oando, Shell Nigeria, Nigeria LNG (NLNG), and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) are participating in various sports like football, volleyball, badminton, squash, tennis, table tennis, swimming, scrabble, and snooker.

The games will run until February 14, 2026, with snooker competitions at the E12 Club Wuse. Strict COVID-19 protocols will be enforced to ensure the safety of participants and attendees.
