NMA Warns Members Against Imposters and Unauthorized Meetings

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) issued a warning to its members regarding the activities of imposters who are falsely representing the association. Dr.

Mannir Batur, the NMA's spokesperson, stated that these unauthorized individuals have attempted to convene emergency meetings and issue statements under the guise of the NMA. The association clarified that it has not sanctioned any such meetings and that any gatherings outside the established constitutional procedures are considered illegal and void.

The NMA has formally notified key security agencies, including the Inspector General of Police and the Department of State Services, about these activities. Members were advised to refrain from participating in unauthorized meetings, as such actions could threaten the association's unity and stability.

The NMA reiterated its commitment to uphold order and discipline within the organization and warned that individuals found misusing the NMA's name would face sanctions according to the association's constitution.
