Nnamdi Kanu Moved to Sokoto Prison After Terrorism Conviction

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been transferred from DSS custody to Sokoto Prison following his conviction for terrorism by Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja. Kanu's legal counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, confirmed the move, expressing concern for Kanu's well-being.

Meanwhile, IPOB, through its spokesman Emma Powerful, questions the legality of the conviction, citing defects and contradictions in the ruling. The group argues that Kanu's defense team's argument under the Terrorism Prevention Amendment Act 2013 should have been considered.
