South-East Lawmakers Appeal to Tinubu for Nnamdi Kanu's Pardon

South-East lawmakers are urging Bola Tinubu to grant clemency to Nnamdi Kanu, the convicted leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The lawmakers believe that Kanu's imprisonment is exacerbating the fragile security situation in the South-East region and are appealing to Tinubu for a political and humanitarian intervention.

The decision was made during a meeting of the South-East caucus in Abuja. Public affairs analyst Donald Okwuosa has also reacted to Kanu's sentencing, emphasizing the need for a political approach to secure Kanu's release from prison.
