Soludo Launches Urban Renewal in Nnewi for Industrial Growth

On a recent tour in Nnewi, Anambra State, Governor Prof. Charles Soludo launched an urban renewal agenda aimed at reclaiming the city’s status as a premier industrial hub.

The governor's inspection focused on identifying infrastructural bottlenecks that have hindered Nnewi's commercial potential. He expressed frustration over the stagnation of public assets, particularly an abandoned shop complex that has remained dormant for seventeen years.

Soludo emphasized the need to transform underutilized land into modern urban centers and enhance public services. He also discussed plans for strategic housing developments to support Nnewi's expanding workforce.

The governor's broader vision includes repurposing open spaces into vibrant parks and commercial ventures. He announced that tangible construction and redevelopment efforts would commence in the coming week, with key officials such as Dr.
