Tinubu Approves Major Roads to Rebuild South-East

Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo stated that President Bola Tinubu is intentionally rebuilding the South-East region.

He expressed excitement over the federal government's approval of the design and procurement for two significant roads: the Otuocha-Anam-Abaji road linking Anambra and Kogi states, and the Oba-Nnewi-Uga-Ihub road connecting Anambra, Imo, and Enugu to the Port Harcourt expressway. Soludo emphasized that these projects underscore Tinubu's commitment to addressing decades-long infrastructure deficits in the region.

He noted that the approval reflects a historic milestone and aims to heal the wounds of the civil war. Soludo revealed that he met with Tinubu on July 1, along with Minister of Works David Umahi, to discuss the road projects, which received confirmation on July 3.

The governor described the roads as critical game changers for enhancing connectivity across the South-East, South-South, and North-Central regions.
