Anambra State Enforces Urban Master Plan Compliance

Anambra State is intensifying its enforcement of the urban master plan, led by Isaac Ojo and the Anambra State Commission for Physical Planning and Urban Development, under the direction of Gov. Charles Soludo.

The enforcement drive aims to reclaim public land and restore the state's original master plan. Barr Chijiok Ojukwu is overseeing the enforcement actions, which include routine operations to ensure compliance with approved development standards.

Recent actions have targeted illegal structures in Ogbunik and Idemili North LGA, where the enforcement team intervened to halt construction that violated regulations. The team also discovered additional non-compliance cases, including structures that failed to observe required setbacks.

The enforcement actions are part of the state's commitment to maintaining orderly and sustainable urban development, with a vision to transform Anambra into a vibrant city akin to African and global urban centers.
