NNPC Unveils Gas Master Plan 2026 to Boost Nigeria's Energy Sector

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) revealed its Gas Master Plan 2026 in Abuja, emphasizing the transformation of Nigeria's abundant natural gas resources into economic value. The plan, tagged NGMP 2026, signifies a strategic shift towards a commercial-driven approach across the gas value chain.

Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ekperikp Ekpo, described the plan as pivotal for Nigeria's energy transition and economic development. NNPC's Chief Executive Officer, Bashir Ojulari, highlighted the plan's goal to ramp up gas production to 12 billion cubic feet per day by 2030, attracting $60 billion in new investments.

Industry stakeholders, including Adegbit Falade and Matthieu Bouyer from TotalEnergies, commended NNPC's ambitious Gas Master Plan 2026 for its potential to drive economic growth and value creation in Nigeria's gas sector.
