NNPP Demands Exoneration for Kwankwaso from Terror Claims

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has urged the Presidency and the National Security Adviser (NSA) to promptly issue an official statement to clear Rabiu Kwankwaso of recent terrorism allegations. In a statement signed by the party's state public secretary, Ibrahim Karayi, the NNPP described the accusations as unsubstantiated and politically motivated.

The party reaffirmed Kwankwaso's status as a patriot and a Nigerian leader, highlighting his record in education and human capital development. The NNPP cautioned against politicizing national security issues, stressing that security matters should not be used as tools in political contests.

The party condemned attempts to tarnish the image of its leader with unverifiable claims. Additionally, the NNPP referenced reports suggesting foreign interests, including the United States, may be involved in these allegations and urged restraint in handling this sensitive matter.

They also noted Kwankwaso's political decisions, including his refusal to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), were based on principled differences in manifesto, not security allegations.
