Galadima Defends Kwankwaso Against Terrorism Financing Allegations

Buba Galadima, a prominent figure in the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP), has refuted allegations linking former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to terrorism financing. Galadima asserts that the accusations are aimed at weakening Kwankwaso's chances of pursuing high political offices, such as the presidency or vice presidency, in the 2027 general elections.

Galadima defends Kwankwaso's tenure as governor from 2000 to 2003, highlighting his support for President Olusegun Obasanjo despite potential political risks. Galadima dismisses claims that Kwankwaso implemented strict Sharia law during his governorship, attributing political fallout during that period to Ibrahim Shekarau's rise to power.

Galadima accuses certain media outlets and political actors of spreading unverified reports to tarnish Kwankwaso's reputation. He emphasizes that Kwankwaso prioritized protecting minority groups during his time in office in Kano State.
