NNPP Rejects US Move to Blacklist Kwankwaso Over Religious Freedom Violations

The NNPP has rejected the US' attempt to blacklist Nigerian politician Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso over alleged religious freedom violations. The party's Public Secretary, Ladipo Johnson, dismissed the accusations, stating that Kwankwaso has no known relationship with religious fundamentalism in Nigeria.

Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State, has been accused of introducing Sharia law during his tenure. However, supporters argue that he also worked to combat Boko Haram and maintained good relationships with Christian leaders.

The NNPP demands that Kwankwaso be cleared of the allegations, emphasizing his reputation as a statesman. The US Congress is reportedly considering sanctions against Kwankwaso, prompting a strong reaction from his supporters.
