NNPP Commends Aiyedatiwa for Free Trade Zone Initiative

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) praised Ondo State Governor Lucki Aiyedatiwa for his initiative to develop the Olokola Free Trade Zone, a project supported by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group. During a courtesy visit, Dangote reaffirmed plans to establish a large-scale industrial free trade zone in the Ilaje Local Government Area, which is expected to transform Ondo State into a manufacturing hub and reduce infrastructure constraints for investors.

Peter Olagookun, the state chairman of NNPP, emphasized that the project, when fully realized, would become a significant legacy of Aiyedatiwa's administration, contributing to job creation and infrastructure development. He also noted the silence of opposition parties regarding the project and highlighted the governor's achievements in infrastructure, including ongoing road and flyover projects.

The NNPP remains active in Ondo State and plans to participate fully in the 2027 general elections, dismissing claims of inactivity following the exit of former national leader Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
