Alimosho APC Declares No Consensus Candidate for 2027

The Alimosho chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that no consensus candidate has emerged for the upcoming elections ahead of the 2027 general elections. This declaration was made by the party caucus, led by Abdullahi Enilolobo, who clarified that the process remains governed by strict party guidelines.

The caucus warned party members and the public against interpreting endorsements from various political alignments as evidence of a consensus candidate. Enilolobo stated that aspirants must submit their nomination forms and undergo screening, with the option to voluntarily withdraw and support another aspirant.

Four aspirants have so far obtained nomination forms for the House of Representatives from Alimosho: Olabisi Adebajo, Uzamat Akinbil, Ganiyu Adel, and Ayuba Bode. Additionally, several aspirants have shown interest in the state constituency positions.

The caucus emphasized that endorsements do not automatically confer consensus status and that the decision-making process will adhere to party rules until the primaries.
