No Markets or Burials on Election Day in Ebonyi State

David Umahi, the Governor of Ebonyi State, announced that there will be no market activities, burial ceremonies, or farm work on the presidential election day as part of efforts to ensure massive support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election bid in the 2027 general elections. This declaration was made during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election held in his hometown, Uburu.

Umahi reaffirmed his unwavering support for Tinubu, describing him as a leader who looks out for the Biafra region. The APC primary election results indicated that Tinubu emerged victorious with 207,579 votes, while his challenger, Stanlei Osiofor, received zero votes across the state.

Governor Nwifuru disclosed that the APC membership strength in Ebonyi State is 215,490, with 207,579 members accredited to participate in the voting process. Umahi emphasized that the outcome reflects the true and accurate results collated from local government areas in the state.
