Prince Harry to Visit London Alone Amid Security Dispute

Prince Harry is set to travel to London alone next week, as Meghan and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will remain behind. This decision follows a sudden change in security arrangements linked to a long-standing dispute over taxpayer-funded police protection.

Since stepping back from their roles as senior working royals, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have lost automatic access to state security in the UK. Initially, the family planned to visit together after receiving an invitation from King Charles III to stay at secure royal residences.

However, the British Home Office refused to provide full state police escorts for public engagements outside the royal residences, leading to a complete rewrite of their itinerary. A joint visit to a London hospital, which would have marked Meghan's first public appearance in the capital in four years, was canceled.

Prince Harry stated that it is impossible to bring his family to the UK safely without proper state protection.
