Air Peace Addresses Passenger Concerns on Flight Return

Air Peace issued a statement clarifying that no passengers were abandoned during the return of a flight from Abuja to London Heathrow, which was rerouted due to a windshield crack suspected to be caused by a bird strike. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) summoned Air Peace to address complaints regarding the incident.

The airline stated that the decision to return was made strictly in line with aviation safety protocols. Passengers safely disembarked at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, and the airline's engineering team commenced necessary technical checks on the aircraft.

Air Peace emphasized that all passengers were taken care of and provided options to fly daily from Lagos to Gatwick at no extra charge. Additionally, accommodations were offered to those in need.

The airline expressed appreciation for the patience and understanding shown by passengers during the disruption and reiterated its commitment to regulatory compliance and operational transparency.
