Kano Governor Denies Plans to Remove Emir Sanusi Amid Speculations

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has denied rumors suggesting the removal of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi from his position. The Governor's Director-General of Media and Publicity, Sanusi Bature, emphasized that there are no plans or agreements to unseat Sanusi from the throne.

Bature dismissed the speculations as baseless and attributed them to misinformation spread by individuals. He clarified that the Kano State government has no intention of replacing Emir Sanusi, as the appointment of an Emir in Kano is governed by law, and there are no current plans to amend or repeal these laws.

The statement also highlighted that despite political changes, the status quo of Emir Sanusi remaining as the Emir of Kano will not be altered.
