Nollywood Actor Baba Ijesha Released After Over 3 Years in Prison for Sexual Assault

Nollywood actor Baba Ijesha, real name Olanrewaju Omiyinka, has regained his freedom after being imprisoned for over three years following a sexual assault conviction involving a 14-year-old girl. The Lagos State High Court had initially sentenced him to 16 years in July 2022.

Actor Yomi Fabiyi confirmed Baba Ijesha's release on Instagram, expressing happiness and emphasizing the need to protect human rights, especially against sexual abuse of minors.
