Nollywood Actor Baba Ijesha Released After Three Years in Prison for Sexual Assault on Minor

Nollywood actor Baba Ijesha has been released from prison after spending three years following a conviction for sexual assault on a minor. Actor Yomi Fabiyi announced Baba Ijesha's freedom, stating that the Court of Appeal set aside part of the earlier judgment delivered by the Lagos State High Court, which had sentenced him to 16 years in prison in July 2022.

Fabiyi raised concerns about discrepancies surrounding the case and criticized the individuals involved. The case involved allegations of sexual abuse of a 14-year-old girl in 2020, with conflicting reports and accusations.
