Funke Akindele Stranded at Gatwick Airport for Hours

Nollywood actress Funke Akindele was stranded at London Gatwick Airport for nearly 10 hours alongside other passengers, including elderly travelers, due to a delay caused by a bird strike. She expressed her frustration on social media, highlighting that passengers were left without luggage or hotel accommodations.

Akindele reported that the situation was unacceptable, as passengers were exhausted and hungry, waiting since 6:30 AM for updates. Despite Air Peace attributing the disruption to factors beyond their control, Akindele demanded immediate action from the airline, including the release of luggage and provision of hotel accommodations.

As of nearly 4 PM, she stated that there was still no luggage, no hotel, and no proper updates for the stranded passengers. Air Peace expressed empathy for the affected passengers and stated that their team was working to provide adequate assistance.
