Nollywood Stars Honor Alexx Ekubo at Service of Songs

The service of songs for popular actor Alexx Ekubo commenced on Wednesday evening in Lekki, attended by various celebrities and dignitaries from the entertainment industry. The event adhered to a strict white dress code as requested by the family.

Notable attendees included Kate Henshaw, Ebel Okaro, Ruth Kadiri, comedian AY, and many others who shared heartfelt tributes reflecting on Ekubo's warmth and generosity. Former Minister of Education Obi Ezekwesili and Pastor Ituah Ighodalo were also present, with Ighodalo offering prayers for Ekubo's widow, Anwuli.

The service featured performances by Nathaniel Bassey and Mercy Chinwo, among others. Ekubo passed away at the age of 40, and his family has requested the public to keep them in their thoughts and prayers.

The funeral rites will continue with a wake on June 17 at the family residence in Arochukwu, Abia State, followed by the final service on June 18.
